Lakeview Gator Football-It is a Community Affair!

There is an air of optimism, anticipation and excitement among the young men of the Lakeview Gator football team as they hit the weight room and run drills for summer conditioning under the watchful eyes of Coach Lawrence Seawood and his staff. The 32 young men of the Lakeview Gator football team are putting in the work as they get stronger and faster with summer workouts.

The whole community is backing the Gators. A group of Lakeview alumni, former players, area businesses, and community leaders showed their support for the team by hosting a BBQ dinner for the players after their workout Thursday, June 6. After the young men worked up an appetite on the field, they were treated to an incredible BBQ dinner of grilled chicken, deer sausage, potato salad, baked beans, homemade cookies and brownies. The mayor of Campti, Katrina Evans, was joined by School Board members Rev. Steven Harris and Chad Fredieu as well as several former players and alumni in cooking and serving the meal. It was a true community effort.

Coach Lawrence Seawood is building a solid culture of accountability, hard work and excellence. Go Gators!

(The Lakeview Gators will face Buckeye at the Jamboree 8/30/24. Their first game will be visiting Shreveport’s Booker T. Washington 9/16/24. Their first home game will be against Delhi on 9/13/24. Come on out and see some hard-hitting gridiron action!)
