St. Mary’s Catholic School Varsity Cheer Squad attended the Universal Cheer Association Camp at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas. The four-day camp focused on crowd leading, skills training, leadership and team bonding. The sixteen-member squad received the following awards:

First Place in Cheer Award
Gold Ribbon Gameday Evaluation
Gold Ribbon Camp Dance Evaluation
Big Banana Spirit Award Day 1 and Overall
3 Pin-It-Forward Leadership Awards: Destanee Stewart, Georgia Kate Philen and Emily Amberg.
In addition, eight team members were named UCA All American Cheerleaders, the most amount of any squad that attended the camp. The cheerleaders that receive this honor are invited to perform at special events across the country. Seniors receiving this honor were Destanee Stewart, Georgia Kate Philen, Ainsley Armstrong and Ava Rae Gill. Juniors awarded this designation were Jaycie Creamer, Ella Hardee, Jillian Coleman and Lainey Bennett.
Officers for the 2024-25 school year are: Destanee Stewart (Captain), Georgia Kate Philen (Co-Captain) and Jaycie Creamer (Lieutenant). The team is coached by Barbara Jackson, Charlie Gandy and Ashley Methvin.
