Natchitoches PoliceDepartment officers were dispatched to the gym facility located at 120 S Williams on June 30 around 9:26 am in reference to damage to property. Bullet holes were located in several of the glass panels on the outside of the building and caused damage to the inside, including several pieces of equipment.

The manager at Prism advised officers that there was damage on their side of the building as well as the gym side.

A city transformer was also struck, allegedly causing a power outage in part of the city. It’s believed that around 1:45 am an individual left Shop Rite and another vehicle fired in his direction as he was driving on Keyser.

The investigation is ongoing as detectives pull security footage from the area.
