Morning Star Baptist Church of Natchez receives Prime-Time Reading Grant

Morning Star Baptist Church of Natchez is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Prime-Time Reading Grant in the amount of a $1,000 stipend. It is funded by Kathleen O’Brien Foundation, the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, and Prime Time. 
 
With this grant we will implement the Prime-Time literacy and learning Program for children ages 3-5 preschoolers and children ages 6-13.  Prime Time offers innovative learning programs designed to strengthen families and communities by harnessing the power of humanities.  Prime Time Reading creates lifelong learning pathways for children and families of all backgrounds by encouraging critical thinking and shared ideas about the world around them.  
 
Our program will run for seven weeks beginning on Sept. 10 at 5:30 p.m.  The remaining program dates will be Sept. 17, 24, Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22, which will all fall on a Tuesday evening.
