The Natchitoches Treasures program, a feature of Natchitoches life since 2008, recognizes community members whose lives exemplify “service, generosity, volunteerism and love of their community.” In a ceremony presided over by Natchitoches civic leader Ed Ward and city councilman Dale Nielsen on Oct. 18 at the Natchitoches Events Center, seven new Natchitoches Treasures, including for the first time a joint award to a married couple, joined their predecessors as gems of our city.
Named as the 2024 Natchitoches Treasures were:
Mr. Roy Ceaser, Dr. Robert Gillan, Dr. Mark Guidry, Ms. Gayle Howell, Jack & Brenda Ingram and Ms. Syll-Young Olson.
