Natchitoches Office of Emergency Preparedness hosts ‘Elected Officials Emergency Management’ training

The Natchitoches Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness partnered with the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness to hold an “Elected Officials Emergency Management” class at the NATCOM 911 Center in Natchitoches on Oct. 29.
 
The class covered topics and what protocals officials are asked and required to follow during natural disasters.
 
Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright and Asst. OEP Director Mary Jones were joined by Rubby Douglas, Neal Brown and Teresa Basco-Region 6 Coordinator with Louisiana GOSHEP.
 
Attending the class were City and Parish elected officials, Natchitoches City Fire Department, Natchitoches City Utility Department, Natchitoches City Public Works, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, and the Director of NATCOM 911 Center.
