
Early in the afternoon on Jan. 8, Natchitoches Jr. High-Frankie Ray Jackson school began experiencing heating problems, which were temporarily resolved, but the issue returned.
In the interest of safety and comfort for all students and staff, the Natchitoches Parish School Board made the decision to cancel classes for tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 9. The district apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates parents’ understanding.
Updates will be provided as soon as the issue is fully resolved.
All other NPSB schools are still to attend classes regularly.
NSU Middle Lab’s heating issue, which caused the school to close on Jan. 8, is resolved and school will resume as normal on Jan. 9.
