The City of Natchitoches announces that the temporary closure of the southbound lane of Second Street, just north of the Union Pacific Railroad Crossing, that was originally scheduled for Jan. 13 was delayed to Tuesday, Jan. 21.
This closure is necessary to allow Atmos Energy to repair a gas line leak in this area.
Two-way, one-lane traffic will be maintained through this work area by use of flaggers. However, given that there will be short-term delays at this site, motorists may want to consider using adjacent City streets in this area.
