The following letter to the editor is in response to one posted on Jan. 15 on the NPJ: natchitochesparishjournal.com/2025/01/15/letter-to-the-editor-issues-with-ecco-ride-driver

I would like to add to the most recent school bus concern.

My children also ride Mr. Robert Moss’ bus in the afternoon. We have had issues from this man from day one. He yells at the children, cusses them, and threatens to put them off the bus on the side of the road. His aide Mrs. Banks is no better she is rude to the children also. The driver uses tobacco while driving the bus. He is dangerous. He fails to stop at stop signs, turns corners too fast, brakes to late, and has, on numerous occasions, ran off the edge of the road. The day before his wreck, he turned off of hwy 9 and the bus wheels left the ground, according to my son. Yet, anytime a complaint is made to Ecco rides, there is no “evidence” on the bus camera. They want me to believe that multiple children from the same bus are just making up lies. No, that’s not the case. This man should be forced to retire or be fired. He is an incompetent driver. Furthermore, he is a danger to our children. I have had to make arrangements for my children to have a ride home everyday since he plowed another driver off the road. I won’t put their lives back in his hands.
