
Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and Louisiana State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Jan. 21 in the 4000 block of Hwy. 486 (Campti Cut-Off), according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies reported that while no injuries occurred, assistance was required to help the driver exit the vehicle, which had overturned onto its side. This marks the second crash reported on the Campti Cut-Off this morning, highlighting the hazardous road conditions.
Officials have noted an increase in the number of accidents throughout the area as icy and slippery roads continue to pose significant risks. First responders are urging residents to stay off roads in snow- and ice-impacted areas until conditions improve.
“If travel is absolutely necessary, slow your speed, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and exercise extreme caution,” authorities advised.
