Embrace the Journey: Transformative Yoga Teacher Training launches in Natchitoches

2025 promises to be a year of growth and self-discovery as a transformative Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program prepares to launch in Natchitoches. Designed for practitioners of all levels, this in-person, intimate experience combines the art of teaching yoga with a deep dive into self-awareness and community connection.

Training Overview The Yoga Teacher Training program runs from now to August 3, adopting a mindful, one-weekend-per-month format. The journey begins and ends with two Friday evenings from 4:30-7 PM. Participants will earn a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) certification through Yoga Alliance, equipping them to lead safe and effective yoga classes.

For those who decide not to pursue teaching, additional certificates are available, making the program’s benefits easily transferable should students have a change of heart.

Key Highlights:

Limited to just 8 participants to ensure personal attention.

Sessions held at a serene home studio in Natchitoches and The Yoga Spot, fostering community and growth.

Opportunities to learn from esteemed yoga therapist Kelsy Davis, who specializes in evidence-based practices for mental and physical well-being.

Kelsy Davis, a Certified Yoga Therapist and Natchitoches resident of 10 years, will guide trainees through select weekends in June and July. Known for her therapeutic approach, Davis blends traditional yoga techniques with modern practices to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.

Why Choose This Training?

The program’s lead instructor, Cle’lie Aubin, with over 20 years of bodywork experience and 8 years teaching yoga in Louisiana, emphasizes accessibility and inclusivity. The Hatha-based curriculum incorporates Ashtanga principles and Iyengar-style alignment, making yoga attainable for diverse body types and skill levels.

Participants will also explore the philosophy behind yoga’s eight limbs—ethics, mindfulness, meditation, and more—ensuring a holistic approach to their practice.

Late applications will be reviewed and, in some cases, accepted through February to accommodate Yoga Alliance’s required regulated makeup hours.

Special Offerings:

  • Payment plans available.
  • Certification options for those who wish to deepen their practice without teaching.
  • A supportive environment to foster personal and professional growth.
