The City of Natchitoches announces that Washington Street once again will be closed to all through
traffic, just north of its intersection with Lafayette Street, beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 3.

This closure is to allow for reconstruction of the concrete base and brick surfacing in that area, and is
expected to last until approximately Friday, Feb. 7.

Southbound traffic will detour around the work site via Texas Street and Third Street. Northbound traffic
will detour via Lafayette Street and Second Street.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution and to observe all warning signs while traveling in this area.
