Natchitoches Lions get a big upgrade to their CubSight Program

Natchitoches Lions Club recently received new eye screening equipment in an effort to increase the successes of their CubSight Project. Natchitoches Lions offer eye screens to all Natchitoches parish daycare children, as well as Natchitoches students, up to age 6. The Lions Club Cubsight program is a free vision screening program for children in Louisiana. The program is run by the Louisiana Lions Eye Foundation, which is a part of Lions Clubs International. Volunteers from the Lions Club screen children's eyes using a special camera.

Children in school and daycare centers are eligible to participate in screenings.

Early detection of vision problems can help prevent blindness and other vision loss as well as help to correct or reverse many vision problems.

If you are interested in having eye screens done at a local daycare, preschool or school (students up to age 6), please reach out to any Lions Club member or reach out to our club through Natchitoches Lions on Facebook. Requests can also be emailed to mefstoker@yahoo.com.
