Provencal Elementary/Jr High Panthers proudly dressed in purple recently to support a very special member of our community, two-year-old Lydia Rachal. Diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome—a rare genetic disorder—Lydia and her family are facing an incredible challenge. Her sister, Heidi, is a beloved student at Provencal, and together, they remind us of the strength and resilience that family brings in times of adversity. Lydia’s parents, Morgan and Kirk, are on a heartfelt mission to raise funds for critical clinical trials that could change the lives of Lydia and many other children battling this devastating disease.
In a beautiful display of compassion, the PJHS Student Council stepped up to help by organizing a “Dress in Purple Day”, where students rallied together and sold over 500 donuts to raise money for the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation. Every effort counts in this fight, and we encourage our community to join us in supporting Lydia’s journey.
