NCHS, Lakeview boys win, get homecourt quarterfinal matchups

The boys basketball teams from Natchitoches Central and Lakeview posted solid second-round homecourt wins Tuesday night in the LHSAA playoffs and earned home games upcoming soon in the state quarterfinals.

Natchitoches Central dispatched Neville 74-64 at The Teepee in a Non-Select Division I contest. Lakeview plastered Elton by 21 in a Non-Select Division IV game.

The No. 4 Chiefs (25-5) will host 12th-seeded Covington (22-10) Friday night with a tip time to be set today.

Lakeview cruised past visiting Elton 55-34 at The Swamp Tuesday night.

The third-seeded Gators (25-5) are playing their home quarterfinal game against No. 6 East Iberville (19-14) Thursday night at 7, since the Lakeview girls play for the Division IV Non-Select state title Friday afternoon at 4 against Arcadia in Hammond.

The Chiefs and Gators can advance to the boys Marsh Madness state tournament in Lake Charles next week with victories in their quarterfinal games.
