The USA TODAY Opinion had the pentimento effect
over the fabled half of my Murican canvas,
revealing the fabulous frame of The Wolf and The Lamb.
I am not alluding to Ukraine as the lamb. No Sirree!
Ukraine was a TikTok kitty, frolicsome and finicky,
till it was hounded into a corner, compelling to summon
its feral ferocity for defending its ancestral domain in the wild.
In the bedeviled world where “fair is foul,
and foul is fair,” the moral of Aesop’s fable
was stifled into the swamp of sycophancy.
But there is tomorrow, there is always tomorrow.
Isaiah will tame the savage brute
while Luke “burn the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
And so the prophecy prevails till the next cycle
when Cain kills Abel, and all hell breaks loose.
There will be war again.
