Emergency responders from the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police, Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #1, and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS were dispatched to the scene of a single-vehicle crash with injuries on March 20 around 10:15 am on Hwy. 119, south of the Shell Beach Bridge.

According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, LifeTeam Air EVAC Medical Chopper was en route to the scene. One individual was airlifted to a regional trauma center for treatment. Deputies reported that the injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.

Motorists traveling through the area were advised to expect possible delays.

The crash is currently under investigation by Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop E Alexandria.
