In celebration of Keep Louisiana Beautiful’s “Love the Boot Week,” local organizations are coming together to host a community cleanup in the Natchitoches Historic District.
Cane River National Heritage Area, the Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Natchitoches Young Professionals are teaming up to organize the event, which will take place on Friday, April 11, starting at 11 a.m. Volunteers are welcome to join throughout the day.
Individuals, families, and groups of all ages are invited to take part in this community effort to help create a cleaner, greener Cane River area. All necessary supplies—including gloves and trash bags—will be provided. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and shoes and bring a water bottle.
Volunteers will gather at First United Methodist Church, located at 411 Second St. in Natchitoches, before heading into the Historic District to begin the cleanup.
