Natchitoches Central plays host to District 1-5A rival Haughton today at 5 p.m. beginning the LHSAA softball playoffs in a Non-Select Division I contest.
Thursday, St. Mary’s opened postseason with a 22-0, three-inning romp over visiting Westminster Academy, while Lakeview’s season ended on the road in a 20-2 loss at DeQuincy.
The Lady Tigers (19-11), seeded ninth in Select Division IV, will travel to play No. 8 Riverside Academy next week in the regional round.
Lakeview, seeded 24th in the Non-Select Division IV bracket, ended its season with an 8-12 overall record after losing to the No. 9-seeded hosts.
The Lakevew baseball team will play Tuesday at East Iberville in a bi-district playoff game with a 4:30 first pitch. East Iberville is the 12th seed and the Gators are No. 21 in the Non-Select Division IV tournament.
