The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning to residents regarding a recent rash of all-terrain vehicle (ATV) thefts across multiple communities in the parish according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.
Deputies are urging ATV owners to take extra precautions, such as:
- Securing vehicles with locks or chains
- Parking in well-lit, visible areas
- Storing ATVs in locked garages or sheds when not in use
- Reporting any suspicious activity immediately
- Keep registration/vehicle identification numbers readily available in case of a theft for law enforcement purposes
