One of the service goals of Rotary Club International is to support basic education and literacy. In the past, Rotary Club of Natchitoches provided free dictionaries to 4th grade students in Natchitoches Parish. However, for the past three years, Rotary of Natchitoches has provided free reading books to Natchitoches Parish fourth graders in the Percy Jackson fiction series by Rick Riordan. Each student had his/her name printed on the inside cover of the book they received.
