The Natchitoches Junior High JAG members recently traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, where they proudly represented our community at the JAG’s 4th Annual National Career Development Conference. This incredible event brought together over a thousand JAG members from across the country to compete, network, and build their future career skills.
I am thrilled to share that our members — Genesis Conday, TaJarrius Bowers, Mariah Holliman, and MyCyah Roberson — achieved 1st place in the Middle School Division of the Creative Decision-Making Scenario Competition! Their outstanding teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity set them apart on the national stage. Also attending and representing our school with excellence was Ky’Ren Burton, who supported his teammates and embraced every opportunity the conference offered.
I would like to extend a special thank you to our dedicated chaperone, Mr. Daniel Rockett, for ensuring our students had the guidance and support needed throughout the week. His commitment to our program is deeply appreciated.
This success would not have been possible without the generous support of our community sponsors, such as Bank of Montgomery and Ms. Daphne Johnson. Their belief in our students and their investment in their future made this life-changing experience a reality.
To my incredible JAG members: you have made us all so proud! Your hard work, leadership, and perseverance are truly inspiring. Always remember that the skills and confidence you displayed this week are the very tools that will carry you to even greater heights. You are living proof that with determination and support, there are no limits to what you can achieve.
