Natchitoches Police seek assistance in locating suspect vehicle used in hit and run

The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a hit and run crash that occurred last month and are asking the public for assistance in identifying a suspect. Natchitoches Police Department officers were dispatched to 247 Keyser Avenue (Shop Rite) on April 27 around 1:22 pm in reference to a hit and run crash involving a building.

The initial investigation by the Natchitoches Police Department revealed that a dark colored pick-up truck was travelling westbound in the 300 block of Keyser Avenue and for reasons still under investigation failed to stop for the red light at the intersection of Keyser Avenue and South Drive. The dark colored pick-up truck then crashed into a Dodge Challenger causing that vehicle to lose control and collide into a local convenience store.
