As part of our Teacher Appreciation Week giveaway last week, five outstanding teachers across the district won the ultimate gift — a well-deserved break from the classroom.
Stepping in as substitute teachers for the day were some very special guests from the NPSB team:Dr. Grant Eloi, Superintendent – Marthaville

Reba Phelps, School Board President – Fairview Alpha
Felicia Pinkney, NPSB Director – M.R. Weaver
Sarah Rachal, NPSB Director – L.P. Vaughn
These leaders rolled up their sleeves and stepped into the shoes of our amazing educators to show just how much we appreciate everything they do.
Dr. Eloi shared his experience, saying: “I’ve never been more tired than after a full day with a group of inquisitive 1st graders. They were well behaved but asked lots and lots and lots of questions… lots. As a former high school teacher, my respect and admiration for our elementary teachers grew exponentially yesterday.”
