Robeline News: May 21, 2025

By Courtney Freeman

At the Village’s regular monthly meeting last Thursday the ordinance for the rate increase for the sewer system to receive the grant funds from LRWA was reintroduced. The council voted to publish the ordinance again and to hold a public hearing and vote on it again. The public hearing will be on Thursday, May 29 at 2:45 p.m. The vote will follow at 3 p.m.

The Council also voted to publish the proposed budget for the fiscal year 25-26. The public hearing and vote will be held next month at the regular monthly meeting.

We were excited to see the plumbing going in at the clinic site this past week. The building is on site and will start going up after the foundation is poured. They’re still hoping for the building to be done by the first of July.

And we’re beyond ready for that.

I would like to extend my condolences to the Hennigan Family on the loss of Rev. Rudolph Hennigan. Elder Hennigan was previously the pastor in Robeline at Apostolic Truth Tabernacle many years ago and we were blessed when he would visit and preach a service. We will miss him and his ministry.
