Although it seems as if Mardi Gras was just a few days ago, plans are aggressively being made for the 2026 Mardi Gras season. The pre-season will start with Krewe of The 9’s inaugural Royal Court coronation on Saturday, June 7 at 6 pm in the Ora Garland Williams Television Center-Room 142 Kyser Hall, Northwestern State University; 165 Sam Sibley Drive, (just off of University Parkway) Natchitoches.
Selected by their peers during an election process in April, the following members of the new Mardi Gras krewe will be featured:
- Ross Williams, Jr., King-elect I
- Tan’Keia Palmer, Queen-elect I
- Matthew Craig, Duke of Scholarship-elect I
- Kenesha M. Coats, Duchess of Scholarship-elect I
- Albert Middleton, Duke of Philanthropy-elect I
- Yolanda Bobb, Duchess of Philanthropy-elect I
