Blanchard Road, Goldonna Road, St. Maurice Lane and Natchitoches Levee improvements receive state support

Two heavily traveled roads in Natchitoches Parish are one step closer to improvement thanks to new funding approved in House Bill 460.

Blanchard Road, a key connector in the parish’s transportation network, will receive $542,000 for upgrades. The project is intended to improve safety, access, and infrastructure quality for residents and travelers in the area.

Goldonna Road, Resurfacing of Goldonna Road, Planning and Construction (Natchitoches).  Payable from General Obligation Bonds, Priority 5 $ 3,560,000.  Payable from State General Fund (Direct) Non-Recurring
Revenues $ 500,000.  Total $ 4,060,000

Natchitoches Levee and Drainage District, to address the Levee Setbacks for the Campti-Clarence Levee and Powhatan Levee, Planning and Construction (Natchitoches).  Payable from General Obligation Bonds.
Priority 5 $ 1,665,000.

Also, the City of Natchitoches will receive $100,000 for repairs to St. Maurice Lane inside the city limits.

The funding was included in a broader package of statewide capital outlay allocations designed to address critical infrastructure needs across Louisiana.
