Plans to transform the former San Luis restaurant on South Drive into a new sports bar are back on track after a long delay.
The Natchitoches Parish Journal first confirmed in February 2024 that the owners and operators of El Nepal had purchased the building with the intent to renovate it into a sports bar. While the remodel was initially announced early last year, construction was temporarily put on hold.
Now, activity at the site has resumed, with crews currently working to improve the structure to accommodate the bar. The name for the new establishment is still under consideration, and further updates are expected as renovations progress.
