A structure fire early Saturday morning resulted in the total loss of a home in the 100 block of Hamous Road near Provencal, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 3:33 a.m. on July 5, emergency personnel from multiple agencies responded to reports of the fire, including Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, Provencal Police, Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #4, and EMS units from Natchitoches Regional Medical Center.

Fire crews arrived to find the structure fully engulfed. Despite their efforts, the home could not be saved and was declared a total loss.

No injuries were reported in connection with the incident. Authorities have not released further details regarding the cause of the fire.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
