Medical emergency involving farm tractor drew Air EVAC response near Creston

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS responded on July 14 around 3:51 pm to a medical emergency involving a farm tractor in the 4200 block of Louisiana Highway 156 near Creston.

According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, a 79-year-old man sustained injuries when one of the rear tires of his tractor rolled over him. The injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.

An Air EVAC Lifeteam helicopter was dispatched to the scene and landed in the parking lot of Lakewood Inn to transport the patient to a regional trauma center for further treatment.

Deputies established a landing zone and asked the public to avoid the area to ensure safety. As of this report, the identity of the patient had not been released.
