RE: AUTHORIZATION OF VENDOR’S COMPENSATION AS ALLOWED BY SB 112

On June 19, 2025, the State of Louisiana, and its political subdivisions, authorized a deduction as compensation for certain dealers and remote sellers that collect and remit sales and use taxes under SB 112{Act 327). This tax deduction is a reinstatement of the previous one which was appealed January 1, 2025.

The vendor’s compensation will be (2%).

Please make the proper changes in order to begin deducting the compensation if the sales and use tax report is received on or before the 20th following the period covered by the return on July 1, 2025. Taxpayers will not begin taking this deduction this deduction until August 1, 2025.
