The Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches met on Thursday, July 16th for their weekly meeting, with President Brittany Barton leading the meeting. After providing club related updates on events and projects, Barton yielded the floor to club treasurer, Dr. Nabin Sapkota who introduced NCPTT Deputy Director Andy Ferrell. Ferrell gave a history on the NCPTT, the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training. Ferrell spoke how 1992 legislation led to the 1994 creation of the research and education center, on the campus of Northwestern State University. Ferrell also highlighted the multiple projects around the country and the world that NCPTT staff have impacted.
