Mayor issues plea for public assistance following July 6 shooting

Mayor Ronnie Williams Jr. issued a public message this week following the tragic shooting that occurred in Natchitoches on the morning of July 6. In a statement addressed to the citizens of Natchitoches, the mayor expressed deep concern and sympathy for those affected by what he described as a senseless act of violence.

While several individuals connected to the shooting have been arrested, law enforcement officials believe others may still be involved. Mayor Williams urged residents to come forward with any information—such as cellphone footage or eyewitness accounts—that could assist investigators in making additional arrests.

To encourage public cooperation, Crime Stoppers of Natchitoches has increased the reward for information leading to further arrests in the case from $3,000 to $5,000. Tips can be submitted anonymously online at P3Tips.com or by calling 318-238-2388.
