Thirteen local clergy members joined forces to lend support to area youth and they recently presented a donation to the Natchitoches City football program.
“Efforts like these, where Clergy and Community can come together to give back to our local youth, is what helps the heartbeat of Natchitoches,” said Pastor J’Rel West of First Baptist Church North.
The City is looking forward to an eventful football season so be sure to mark calendars as the Jamboree kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 9am.
“Football season is an exciting time in the city and Coach Young has poured into countless local youth beyond the gridiron,” West added. “We as Clergy are eager at the opportunity to invest in this program and yearn for more opportunities to give back to student athletes. Additionally, I’d like to thank Dr. Eloi, as well as Principals Benjamin, Ducote, and Roberson for their leadership and our prayers are with them for an outstanding school year!”
