A second suspect involved in the burglary of a local business in Readhimer was taken into custody Tuesday evening, according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.
Eight Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies acted on an anonymous tip on Sept. 2 around 7:32 pm, responding to a location on Calvin Tyler Road near Readhimer. The tip provided information on the whereabouts of Charles “Chase” Nobles, 45 of Goldonna.
Deputies, familiar with Nobles’ history of fleeing and his knowledge of the local terrain, conducted a covert approach. Upon arrival, Nobles attempted to flee into nearby woods, prompting a brief foot pursuit. He was quickly apprehended without incident or injury.
Nobles is being transported to the LaSalle Corrections/Natchitoches Detention Center, facing charges including Simple Burglary, Resisting Arrest, and other pending offenses.
Aimee Rachal, of Alexandria, was taken into custody on Hwy. 9 in Bienville Parish earlier this morning with assistance from the business owner.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are still searching for a second suspect:
Dustin Mack, 39 of Greenwood.
Sheriff Stuart Wright stated:
“Thanks to an anonymous tip and the quick, coordinated response of our deputies, we were able to safely take Charles Nobles into custody this evening near Readhimer. Our deputies acted with professionalism and caution, knowing the suspect had a history of fleeing and was familiar with the terrain. Although we would like to take suspects into custody immediately following a crime sometimes it takes a little time and the public’s assistance. I’m proud of their work and thankful no one was injured.”
We would also like to thank the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office who were responding to assist with search and tracking dogs.
