Lakeview High School in Campti will host a LifeShare Mobile Blood Drive on Thursday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room of the school, located at 7305 Hwy. 9.
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood — and one in seven hospital patients will require a transfusion during their stay. Despite modern medical advances, there is still no substitute for human blood, and LifeShare depends on volunteer donors to meet community needs. Each day, approximately 500 units of blood are required to support patients across the region.
Who Can Donate:
Anyone 16 years or older, weighing at least 110 pounds and in good health, may donate. Sixteen-year-olds must present a signed parental consent form.
Donation Details:
Most donors give whole blood, which can help up to three patients with a single donation. The entire process takes about 45–60 minutes, with the actual donation lasting 10–15 minutes.
