Natchitoches Fire Department firefighters responded to a reported fire at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center on Oct. 14 at approximately 5:34 p.m.
Crews located the fire above the emergency room entrance, extending into an area on the second floor. The entire hospital was evacuated, and some patients on the fourth floor were secured in place.
Firefighters quickly brought the situation under control. No further details are immediately available as crews continue to assess the scene.
