Natchitoches’ newest Super-1 Foods holds Grand Opening

The long wait is finally over! Super-1 Foods held its grand opening on Wednesday, October 15 before a standing room only crowd who heard from Mayor Williams, Laura Lyles from the Chamber of Commerce, as well as the new store’s leadership team and Brookshire Grocery Company Chairman and CEO Brad Brookshire. The attendees then moved to the front of the store for the traditional ribbon cutting. Store manager Eddie Medley and CEO Brad Brookshire cut the ribbon accompanied by the mayor, city council members, Ms. Lyles and a host of civic leaders and eager shoppers. NSU was well represented by members of the Cheer Team, Demon Dazzlers and Vic the Demon. In addition, representatives from both the Governor’s and Lieutenant Governor’s officers were on hand.

The company’s investment in our community extends beyond the store’s walls. The Cane River Foor Pantry and Natchitoches Fire and Police departments were each presented with donations. The 45,200 square foot store will employ 200 people and features a CC’s Coffee, curbside pickup service and a gas station with both diesel and regular gas.
