Natchitoches Police Department officers were dispatched to mile marker 134 on Interstate 49 on Nov. 11 around 11:41 am in reference to a fatal motor vehicle crash.
The initial investigation by the Natchitoches Police Department revealed that a 2016 Nissan Altima, driven by Ramon Hillman, was traveling northbound on Interstate 49 and for reasons still under investigation exited the roadway and overturned.
Ramon Hillman was pronounced deceased by the Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office as a result of his injuries.
Routine toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
The Natchitoches Police Department would like to remind all motorists to wear their seatbelts while traveling. Seatbelt use can significantly reduce fatal or serious injuries caused in vehicle crashes.
