The City of Natchitoches is aware of reports regarding an ongoing state inquiry. These types of inquiries are routine and common among cities across the state of Louisiana. The City will confidently provide all requested information.
Because this is an active and confidential process, we are unable to share details at this time. That confidentiality is required by the investigating agency—not the City—and should not be mistaken for a lack of transparency.
To clarify a factual error in recent media coverage: the Natchitoches Parish Journal made no significant attempt to contact me on Friday, November 7, 2025! City Hall closes at 11:30 a.m. on Fridays, a long-standing policy in place for years. No emails or direct phone calls were made directly to me requesting comment before publication.
This administration has always operated with honesty and openness. We have hosted numerous town halls, regularly share updates through videos and public posts, and maintain direct lines of communication with residents and community leaders. Any suggestion otherwise misrepresents both our record and our commitment to the citizens of Natchitoches.
Unfortunately, certain outlets have chosen to put politics over progress while overlooking the tremendous improvements our city has made—securing millions of dollars in grants, embarking on major projects such as the new water treatment plant and fire station, and improving city infrastructure including water lines and streets.
We remain focused on continuing that work. My administration will fully cooperate with any civil review and will continue serving the people of Natchitoches with integrity, accountability, and transparency.
