The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum will host its next Lunchtime Lagniappe program on Friday, Dec. 12 from 12:15-12:45 p.m., featuring local storyteller and genealogy enthusiast Marcy Frantom.
Frantom will share “Scrambling for Ancestors with DNA & Other Tools,” a presentation chronicling the trip she and her sister Penny took to England in search of their family’s roots. Equipped with DNA tests, handwritten notes, and old family stories, the sisters pieced together an ancestral portrait of the Frantom lineage across Europe. While every genealogy journey is different, Frantom’s experience offers both a guide for creating unforgettable family memories and insight into how understanding the past can shape a family’s sense of identity.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the FLASH Facebook page or call 318-357-2492.
The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame & Northwest Louisiana History Museum is located at 800 Front Street in Natchitoches.
