Traffic was diverted along Louisiana Highway 486 (Campti Cut Off) following a single-vehicle crash with injuries reported Monday morning, Jan. 5 around 7:35 am, near the Old Cherokee Club landmark.
NATCOM 911 received reports of a crash involving injuries. Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, Louisiana State Police, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS, and Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection Districts #3 and #9 responded to the scene.
Authorities confirmed there were three occupants inside the vehicle. Two individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while one occupant reported no injuries.
Foggy conditions were also reported in the area, prompting officials to urge motorists to reduce speed, drive carefully, and avoid distractions while traveling nearby.
Louisiana State Police Troop-E Alexandria is investigating the crash. No further details were immediately available.
