Krewe of Excellence holds successful coat drive

The Krewe of Excellence Community Service Committee has officially launched its commitment to service, beginning with a highly successful coat drive benefiting students across Natchitoches Parish.
The krewe’s first service initiative generated an overwhelming response from the community, resulting in a large number of donated coats. Through the effort, the Krewe of Excellence was able to provide much-needed winter clothing to several local schools.

Donations were distributed to Fairview Alpha, under the leadership of Principal Brooke Williams; Triggs Elementary; MR Weaver Elementary, led by Armetrice Williams; and L.P. Vaughn Elementary, led by Clarissa Davis.

Organizers said the coat drive reflects the committee’s mission to support students and families through direct, meaningful service. The Krewe of Excellence plans to continue its outreach efforts throughout the parish with future initiatives aimed at meeting community needs.

The successful drive marked a strong beginning for the committee’s service work, highlighting the impact that collaboration and community support can have on local students.
