Natchitoches Police Department officers were dispatched to the 300 block of South Drive on Jan. 7 around 8:44 am in reference to vehicle crash.

The initial investigation by the Natchitoches Police Department revealed that a 2025 Nissan Sentra was heading west on Woodyard Drive and failed to stop for the red light at South Drive. The Nissan Sentra then collided with a 2008 Pontiac G6 causing the Sentra to roll over.

The occupants of both vehicles were checked by EMS and the Natchitoches Fire Department prior to leaving the scene.

The Natchitoches Police Department would like to remind all motorists to wear their seatbelts while traveling. Seatbelt use can significantly reduce fatal or serious injuries caused in vehicle crashes.
