The NPJ has confirmed that the Pioneer Pub is officially closing its doors after years of serving as a favorite hang out spot for good food and even better company for tourists and locals alike in downtown Natchitoches. A “for sale or lease” sign has been posted in a window at the front of the establishment at the Front Street traffic circle. The restaurant and bar typically closes early each year for a few weeks.
