The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has announced that rainbow trout will be stocked at Parc Natchitoches on Jan. 22 as part of its annual winter trout stocking program.
The once-a-year event brings rainbow trout to select public fishing locations across the state, providing a seasonal fishing opportunity for anglers of all ages. Stockings are weather dependent, and LDWF officials noted schedules may shift based on conditions.
LDWF’s Get Out & Fish program coordinates the statewide effort, which includes parks and ponds in multiple regions of Louisiana. Updates will be released as each site is stocked.
Parc Natchitoches is one of several Northwest and Central Louisiana locations selected for this year’s program. Anglers are encouraged to follow state fishing regulations and licensing requirements.
