All three parish girls high school basketball teams reach state playoffs

As usual, Natchitoches Central’s girls are starting the LHSAA basketball playoffs at home Thursday but it’s travel time for the girls teams from St. Mary’s and Lakeview.

The Louisiana High School Athletic Association released playoff brackets Monday.

NCHS is the ninth seed in Non-Select Division I and will host District 1-5A foe Airline Thursday night at 6.

St. Mary’s earned a No. 21 seed in the Select Division IV bracket and travels to Morgan City Thursday to play 12^th-seeded Central Catholic at 6.

Lakeview, in a rebuilding mode, got back to postseason as the 28^th seed in Non-Select Division IV. The Lady Gators go south to face No. 5 East Feliciana Thursday at 6.

The LHSAA boys regular season wraps up this week with playoff pairings set to be released next Monday.
