NPSO supports Louisiana Special Olympics Red River Area Games

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office joined fellow law enforcement agencies in supporting the Louisiana Special Olympics Red River Area Games on March 24 at the Walter Ledet Track on the campus of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches.

Sheriff Stuart Wright and members of the NPSO were proud to participate in this inspiring event, which celebrates the determination, courage, and achievements of Special Olympics athletes from across the region.

As part of their support, Sheriff Wright provided hot dog lunches and drinks to all athletes participating in this year’s games, helping ensure a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved.

NPSO D.A.R.E. Coordinator Wendy Llorens shared her thoughts on the event:
“It’s truly an honor to be part of an event that highlights the incredible spirit and perseverance of these athletes. The joy and determination they bring to the field is inspiring to all of us. Supporting the Special Olympics is not just about today, it’s about building lasting relationships and showing these athletes that their community stands behind them every step of the way.”
