
The City of Natchitoches received a clean FY 2025 audit report with no findings or areas of concern, municipal officials announced Wednesday.
The report, which covers the city’s financial status through May 31, 2025, shows a total net position of $116,959,088. This figure represents a $3,258,847 increase over the previous year’s total of $113,700,241.
City officials stated the results underscore a commitment to transparency and sound fiscal management. The audit also highlighted strong utility operations as a primary driver of the city’s financial strength.
During the formal presentation of the report, auditors credited Finance Director Clarissa Brown-Smith and her team for navigating the city’s financial structure in a positive direction.
According to the city, Natchitoches remains in a stable financial position with significant capital assets intended to support long-term sustainability and growth for the community.
