Natchitoches Parish President John Salter advised the public that there will be increased heavy truck traffic on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 8-9, along Highway 6.

Affected areas include I-49 to Highway 504 at the new traffic circle, with possible extension to Lime Kiln Road. Eight-Mile Loop will also be affected as drilling equipment is hauled into the area.

The public is encouraged to avoid these congested traffic areas if possible and to use extra caution when traveling these corridors this weekend.
